Margaret Haig Thomas, 2nd Viscountess Rhondda

Margaret Haig Thomas, 2nd Viscountess Rhondda, was born in London, England, on June 12, 1883. She married in 1908 and divorced in 1922. Mackworth was a Welsh peeress, a suffrage activist, a survivor of Germany’s sinking of the British ship Lusitania, the founder of Time and Tide magazine, and a lesbian. She died on July 20, 1958.
