Angela Calomiris

Angela Calomiris, the daughter of Greek immigrants, was born on August 1, 1916, in New York City. While a prominent photographer, she became an FBI informant within the Communist Party from 1942 to 1949; she later wrote about this in her 1950 autobiography, titled Red Masquerade. She had several lesbian relationships and was part of the lesbian communities of New York City and Provincetown, Massachusetts. She died on January 30, 1995.
